Rovers Spring Weekend
On Friday 8th April, 20 members and friends of Rovers met in the Saluatation Arms, Ambleside for our annual Spring Weekend.
Friday evening was a get together over dinner.
On Saturday morning we all met and went out for a visit to the home of Beatrix Potter, Hill Top. We then proceeded to Coniston for a cruise on the lake to visit Brantwood, John Ruskin’s house.
On Sunday morning, before dispersing, we visited Dove Cottage one-time home of Wordsworth.
We could not have asked for better weather in April. A glorious weekend enjoyed by all.
