Read, Write, Rove! Learn the art of communication in a relaxed and friendly environment with Rovers Club. Rovers is a writing club and a public-speaking club rolled into one to help you develop communication skills in writing and speaking.
In Rovers club you can:
- Learn to express yourself concisely.

- Meet interesting people.
- Participate in workshops at POWERtalk Council, Club and Region events.
- Take part in our annual speech contest.
The Club is part of POWERtalk International, a non-profit organisation founded in 1938 and now operating in 21 countries.
Our nationwide membership contributes written assignments to the Rovers Magazine by mail or e-mail. We normally meet as a club three times a year at the Region Conference, at a Spring Weekend and at a Training Weekend in Carlisle..
We have the opportunity to learn about public speaking and topics of general interest at these events and to attend other events hosted by the two POWERtalk councils in England and Scotland.
A lot of our members also belong to local POWERtalk clubs and we would encourage you to join a local club if one exists in your area (see Links).
POWERtalk clubs are open to everybody – Details of our fees.
The Mission of POWERtalk International, Great Britain Region is:
To provide the best coaching in communication, presentation and leadership skills throughout Great Britain
